Hello, and welcome to Halfway Whole! I’m Megan – and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve been obsessed with cooking and baking for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a kid, I loved watching anything food related. It started with those old PBS cooking shows and Ron Popeil infomercials, lol.
Fast forward to 2019 – I started this blog to share my favorite recipes. You’ll find plenty of healthy soup recipes, desserts made with unrefined sugars and a little of everything in between.
Halfway Whole is my approach to nourishing my body regularly while still leaving space for real life. For me, it’s about progress, not perfection. This means I eat clean most days and usually avoid refined sugars, but will also get down with some pizza and wine without any guilt.
Most of my recipes are refined sugar free and use minimally processed ingredients, but you’ll find the occasional treat.
That’s the “Halfway” part – because we can’t be perfect all the time 🙂
I live in Erie, Pennsylvania with my husband and stepson. I’m a self-proclaimed sweet potato enthusiast, and I think everything tastes better with a sprinkle of flaked sea salt. When I’m not thinking about what I want to eat next, I enjoy reading, working out, and avoiding yard work.
